MISSION & VISION

The Synergraphic mission is to explore glass art and design in all its forms and create works of the highest quality with maximum customer satisfaction. Our vision is for innovation, experimentation and the creation of beauty through dedication to this fascinating and versatile material.

WHO WE ARE

Since its inception in 1986 Synergraphic has become synonymous with quality and innovation in glass art and design, specialising in providing concept, design, fabrication and installation of decorative, sculptural and structural glass art works for architectural and interior spaces. Our techniques include both hot work and cold work.

Through collaboration with designers and architects and employing a dedicated team of skilled in house glass experts, Synergraphic has remained at the forefront of cutting edge design. Being able to access so much creativity and expert knowledge makes Synergraphic the ideal partner for companies in the architectural and interior design fields.

HISTORY

Synergraphic was formed in 1986 and is led by artist and business woman Florence Ng. Operating from its factory site in 10 Changi South Street, Synergraphic has positioned itself as one of the foremost glass art companies in South East Asia. Notable commission and projects have included the large scale glass sculptures for Taipei 101 titled "The Partners", installations at The St. Regis Hotel, Singapore, and the "Crystal Glass Tower" for Brunei.

Creating artworks on a more intimate scale has also been addressed through the curation of exhibitions such as "Passage of Evolution" in 1993, the first comprehensive showcase of glass art in Singapore featuring many local talents.

The most recent activity in this field has been the creation of the brand Florenz which handles the creation and exhibition and sale of glass artworks within a gallery setting.

OUR CREATION

Synergraphic is now nurturing Florenz. While still focused on glass Florenz deals with fine artworks and conceptual pieces. It is hoped that Florenz will grow to be a creative hub for glass arts and artists in Singapore, hosting exhibitions and events that explore many of the less commercial aspects of glass art. In the words of Florence Ng, founder of Florenz "it is a place for artists to come and play" and a continuation of her "love story with glass".

Biography

Inspired by the beauty of nature and the intricate details of everyday surroundings, Florence Ng sought to immortalise her creative visions within the fragile yet fluid medium of glass. What started as a hobby, at a time when glass art was relatively unknown in Singapore, soon became an all-consuming passion, one that took her to the US in the early 90's in search of mentors that would enable her to hone her craft to perfection. A pioneer of glass art in Singapore for over twenty years, Florence has created unique and stunning works of art for various renowned private and commercial projects at home and overseas. With a mission to bring glass art to a wider audience, in 1993 Florence organised the first national art glass exhibition in Singapore titled Passage of Evolution, bringing local and international glass artists together to overwhelming acclaim. She continues to promote her art and the art of others, hoping to inspire a new generation with the beauty and myriad possibilities of glass.
