About the Workshop

This workshop offers a basic introduction to glassworking and in particular, glass fusing. First, you will be introduced to various glass types suitable for fusing creations. Then, spend time picking up basic glass cutting skills with your own hands. Practice on industrial float glass to gain confidence in cutting regular shapes, before working with actual fusible colored glass that will be used to create your own fused glass item. Learn how to use the grinding machine to polish sharp edges before assembling your final creation. Learn the basics of how to operate the kiln as well. Follow our existing design templates or go wild with your imagination! Each participant will get to take home a beautiful coaster of your own. Pieces require time to cool and will be available for collection three days later, or will be delivered to you ($5 delivery fee). This workshop is for beginners and no prior experience is required.
