Synergraphic is proud to be part of a meaningful collaboration with Ngee Ann Polytechnic and Cellini to present ‘Senses’ at Singaplural 2019. Over the past few months, Synergraphic Design sought to make glass accessible by sharing the vast possibilities of glassmaking with Ngee Ann Polytechnic Product Design Students, and provided feedback and guidance to make the students’ designs feasible. The collaboration showcases the students’ exploration of blending aluminium and glass into contemporary furniture under the theme ‘Unnatural Phenomena’.

The Singaplural exhibition opened with a bang in conjunction with the opening of the annual Singapore Design Week on the 4th of March 2019. Graced by SMS Chee Hong Tat, the opening saw colourful digital visual displays that wowed the audience and thought-provoking showcases at the atrium of National Design Centre.

You are invited to view the exhibition at Singaplural 2019 and participate in the activities organised by Singapore Design Week between 5th - 17th March 2019.

Singaplural advocates collaborations between brands and creatives to encourage innovation, intelligent design, creativity and the continuous pushing of boundaries. It’s name is a portmanteau of the terms ‘Singular’ and ‘Plural’, which reflects the multi-faceted and multidisciplinary design platform’s aim to draw various designers from the same industry together. This year, SingaPlural draws on nature’s evolution to inspire innovation in design under the theme “Unnatural Phenomena”, which explores how unconventional collaborations challenge disciplinary boundaries and forge new design species.

It is supported by DesignSingapore Council (DSC), Enterprise Singapore and Singapore Tourism Board under the annual Singapore Design Week Program (SDW) organized by DesignSingapore Council. SDW invites the design community, businesses, design students and the general public to participate in a collection of local and international activities. It is one of Asia’s premier design festivals and it champions design thought leadership by converging and showcasing top design talents and business from Singapore and Asia.
